Contemporary furniture retailer Europe by Net has scooped the prestigious "Best International Performace" award at ECMOD 2005.

Contemporary furniture retailer Europe by Net has scooped the prestigious "Best International Performace" award at ECMOD 2005.

Europe by Net offers premium European furnishings at savings of up to 40% compared to retail prices. Its enormous range of over 100 brands and over 5,000 products makes designer traditional and modern furniture available even to consumers who live many hours from the nearest high-end furniture store.



Having its website as its primarily sales channel has made Europe by Net a very international company from its inception, but in the last year international sales have increased dramatically. Although premium European home furnishings are not the easiest thing to deliver internationally, the company has delivered orders in over 35 countries. New additions so far in 2005 include South Africa, Thailand, Dubai, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

Getting its products to their far-flung destinations cost-effectively and in good condition is a major logistics challenge; for this, Europe by Net works closely with a wide range of transport companies, depending on the physical size, materials, and quantity of items in an order, and whether the customer wants it shipped by air or by sea. In addition, Europe by Net has developed external styrofoam packaging which it adds to international shipments of a fragile nature; this has been very successful in reducing damage to the valuable and often delicate items it sells.
